The Good News
is that the
limited nature
of the mobile
web site that
plays on
everything does not
necessarily
mean it is
limited.
It just does
some things
well, some
things uniquely,
but other
things not at
all.
Let's see
what it can do
uniquely:
1. You can click on a highlighted phone number on a mobile web site and it will dial that number on your phone.
2. You can browse the mobile web almost anywhere you are, usually with one hand while you hold a banana in the other hand.
3. You can store it on your person or in a handbag. Thus the mobile internet is smaller than a handgun, and in many ways more powerful.
4. You can write a novel with one thumb, while hanging on a rail in the subway. It's been done!
5. In the palm of your hand, it can call you a taxi, tell you the time in Dubai, give you an instant weather forecast, or check on a friend's incoming flight.
6. It can send the flowers you forgot to send your mother, from the last train at night.

7. It can give you major news stories, sports scores, stock reports, and find the meaning of an unusual new word, all while you are waiting 10 minutes for the taxi you called from the arrival gate.
8. It can read bar codes and let you buy things from your phone.
Now, whether
you want
your site to
be a high-tech
business card
you show and
send to the
other person on
the spot...
Or if you offer takeout menus for call-in orders to every deli in New York City...

Your best mobile site will be the result of ...
Minimalist DesignThat is design
which finds a
way to use
the least screen
space, and the
least data, and
the fewest inputs
...to get the
best result.
Minimalist Design does the most for you when you want your site to play on everything.
Minimalist Design is what we do.
